The Evolution of Crocodiles

Your First Crocodile

The Xilousuchus (250,000,000 BC)

They are the earliest known resemblance of Crocodiles that we know of today. The average Xilousuhcus grew up to three feet long, weighing around 5-10 pounds. They lived in the swamps of eastern Asia. Fed on small animals, making them carnivorous. The ridge of fan-like 'sails' on their back usually helped intimated predators that may be strong enough to kill them normally. This species split off into prehistoric crocodiles and early dinosaurs but the game will focus on the aspect of crocodiles as their dinosaur predecessors went extinct. Smaller animals have begun to run faster and plants are in abundance.
